Seized by Supernatural

I have a confession to make, I’m a groupie. Not in the traditional, fall in love with a band and travel around the world to tour with this band in the hopes of somehow catching the eye of the lead singer and live happily ever after, kind of groupie. I’m more of the watch as many episodes a day as possible kind of groupie. For me, my rockstar is a mysterious yet ever so intriguing and addictive television show, Supernatural.

Now for those of you who aren’t aware of the premise of the show its just basically two brothers fighting anything and everything that goes bump in the night, with a little bit of religion lore thrown in.

One thing has always intrigued me about this show, the casting process. Personally, I’m pretty sure the casting director just chose the three most beautiful boys in the world to play the leads in this show. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins might be three of the most attractive men I’ve ever laid eyes on. The fact that they’re all in the same show is definitely a gift to us viewers. Although I’m pretty sure their looks alone would keep viewers, this trio also has unbelievable chemistry.

Very rarely do I watch a show and truly believe the cast to be friends rather than simply costars. This show is definitely the exception. In the more serious scenes, the heartfelt empathy between the trio is undeniable. Conversely, in the more humorous instances, the laughter they share makes it seem like they’ve been friends their whole lives.

It’s hard to believe this show is going into its twelfth season, but it isn’t difficult to see why. With its ever changing storyline, its impeccable casting, its quippy dialogue, and perfect chemistry, this show could just as easily go on as long as ghost stories are still told around campfires.
